CP-71WA Firmware Update (January 2026)
This latest firmware update fixes Apple CarPlay connection issues caused by the new iOS 26 version.
Note: This is for iPhones 16 and older. We are still working on a fix for iPhone 17.
WARNING: Before attempting this update, please read these instructions carefully and don’t skip any steps, and be sure to use a blank flash drive (FAT32 format) from a reputable brand (SanDisk, Samsung, etc). If the flash drive is not empty, be sure to format it. You can find instructions on how to format a flash drive HERE.

Update Instructions
- Download the CP-71WA Update File onto your computer.
- Copy that .BIN file onto your freshly formatted FAT32 flash drive.
- With the CP-71WA radio powered on, insert the USB flash drive to the USB port.
- You may get a "No data can be played" message, but ignore and click on the Home button.
- Click on Settings, and scroll down the menu and select Serial & Version.
- Click Update button, and you will see a window with New Firmware Version popup. Click Update to begin the update process.
- Please wait a few minutes, you will see multiple update screens until you finally see the initial setup screen.
- Once you complete the setup, your CP-71WA is now fully updated!
